CCM - Configurable Component Modeler
The software CCM – Configurable Component Modeler – is developed to support synthesis,
modeling, analysis and configuration of object oriented system platforms according to
the so called COPE methodology. It also serves as a repository for the elements of the
platform (the CC models) in a PLM network with PDM and CAX tools.
The COPE methodology is an object oriented methodology for development of product
platforms. The reusable items of the platform are described by a new type of platform
elements that resembles sub-routines in computer software. The properties of such
sub-routines can be controlled using parameters, and they can also be logically linked
to other sub-routines with relations that can be described and controlled.
The platform elements of the COPE methodology – the Configurable Components
(CC) – are models of conceptual system families that work in a similar way.
